5 THINGS TO HELP YOU GET READY FOR THE SEASON...ARE YOU READY?

As we get closer to season tip-off, preparation becomes the key to a smooth, successful, and enjoyable season for players, parents, coaches, and staff. When everyone is aligned early, it allows us to focus on what truly matters: player development, competition, and growth as ONE program. Here are five big things every family should focus on as the season approaches.

1️⃣ Get Registered Early

Registration is the foundation of everything we do. Ensuring your player is fully registered allows our directors, coaches, and admin team to collect all necessary information and distribute uniforms and equipment accurately and on time. Early registration minimizes hiccups and ensures every athlete starts the season prepared and confident.

2️⃣ Make Payments Early

Early payments are critical to our ability to plan effectively. They help us lock in teams for tournaments without the worry of overbooking, and they often give us added benefits, directors are more willing to work with us on scheduling when we commit early. Paying ahead also prevents uniform and equipment shipment delays, keeping everything on track before the first game.

3️⃣ Book Hotels Early

Travel season moves fast. Booking hotels early guarantees you’ll have a place to stay and removes the stress of last-minute searching. When families wait too long, options become limited. Through EventConnect, you’ll have access to a wide selection of hotels near tournament venues, often at discounted rates, making travel easier and more affordable.

4️⃣ Stay Connected With Communication

Information moves quickly during the season. Make sure you are:

  • Connected on SportsYou (both organization and team pages)

  • Receiving text messages and email blasts

Staying connected ensures you never miss important updates about schedules, events, player news, or organizational announcements.

5️⃣ Help Where You Can

This program thrives because of its community. We’re always grateful for parents willing to help, whether it’s planning events, organizing team meals, or leading devotionals. Every contribution matters. We don’t do this alone. We do this together, and we do this as ONE.

As the season approaches, preparation sets the tone. Thank you for being proactive, supportive, and committed to helping our players and program succeed. Let’s get ready for a great season—together. 🏀💙
